After trying it all – petal pads, gel insoles, shoemaker-applied rubber soles, fold up flats – Lyn Butler, a former Emmy award winning TV producer, had a mission to make stiletto shoes more comfortable. She worked with chemists to develop a topical formula that would help keep feet feeling cool, fresh and comfortable, while stopping foot pain before it begins.

It’s called Still Standing, and it is packaged in a can with a spray actuator. It is sold along with a free mini purse spray, for touch-ups, in a plastic bottle with a pump. There’s also an On-The-Go Set, which is three purse sprays packaged in a gift box. Both are shown above.

The formulation includes cooling menthol, Arnica, Aloe and Ilex, which has been used for centuries by Indians in Paraguay for its anti-inflammatory properties and ability to increase the effects of other medicinal herbs. These extracts are obtained from certified organic plants that are ‘Eco-Distilled’ to insure their potency.

How To Use It

The brand says that the spray will work on bare skin or through stockings, but suggests spraying it on bare skin before putting on thicker tights or socks. The effects will last from 1.5 to 4 hours, and then the purse spray can be used for touch-ups.

What It Does

Still Standing doesn’t claim to work if your shoes don’t fit properly, and it’s not designed ot prevent blisters. The brand does say it will  keep your feet feeling as good as they did when your first put on your shoes – and claims to prevent the hot red, shoes-too-tight feeling that most women get after 40 minutes of standing in stilettos.
